1. Staff/student ratio does not complied with NUC guideline
2. Staff mix by rank is not consistent with NUC guideline in all category
3. 48% of teaching staff does not have Ph. D
4. 40% of teaching staff, 50% of non-teaching staff does not benefit from staff development for the past three years.
5. Staff offices are not adequate in space and does not have attached toilet
6. Funding is not adequate

 

1. The Department should ensure that Staff/student ratio should complied with NUC guideline
2. The Department should ensure that Staff mix by rank be consistent with NUC guideline in all category
3. The Department should ensure that all teaching staff should have Ph. D
4. The University should ensure that all staff should benefit from staff development programme of the university.
5. The University should ensure that staff offices should be built with more adequate space

 

The total score for the programme is 90%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 25 (71%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
