1. Practical conducted do not adequately cover the curriculum.

2. The internal quality assurance mechanism is not effective.

3. Only 42.9% of non-teaching staff did not benefit from the staff development.

4. The laboratories are not adequate in space.

5. Funding for the programme is inadequate

 

1. The Department should ensure that practical conducted should cover the curriculum adequately.

2. The University should ensure that the internal quality assurance unit is effective to impact on the programme.

3. All non-teaching staff are encouraged to benefit from staff development programme.

4. Standard and adequately furnished laboratories should be provided for the programme.

5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.00%. It scored 31 (83.78%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
