1. The laboratories are not adequately equipped.

2 There are no lecturers to handle organic and inorganic chemistry courses.

 

1. Equipment such as UV-visible Spectroscopy, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry should be provided.

2. The University should provide qualified lecturers to teach Organic and Inorganic Chemistry.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.02%. It scored 31.73 (96.15%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (82%) in Staffing, 20.75 (76.85%) in Physical Facilities, 15.5 (86%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
