1. There is no practical work.
2. Only 2 out of 3 of the non-academic staff have benefited from the staff development programme
3. Research collaborations not sufficient

 

1. There should be a provision for the Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
2. All staff should benefit from the staff development programme
3. There should be more emphasis on research collaborations.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.62%. It scored 29 (82.86%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91.43%) in Staffing, 27 (100.00%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
