2. Only 50% of the non-teaching staff benefited from the Staff Development Programme.

3. Staff office accommodations are inadequate and lacks convenience

1. The University should ensure that the Staff Mix by Rank in the ratio 20:35:45 should be maintained.

2. The University should ensure that all the non-teaching staff should benefit from the Staff Development Programme.

3. The University should ensure that more offices are built and modern toilet facilities are included.

4. The University should ensure that new innovative courses should be included in the curriculum.
5. The University should ensure that teaching practice by students should be supervised by an External Examiner.

6. The University should ensure that more funds are being provided for the running of the Political Science Education programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.11%. It scored 33 (89.19%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97.14%) in Staffing, 14 (87.50%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
