1. Inadequate equipment in the laboratories, such as microscopes, consumables, and other medical devices 2. There is a significant evidence of an ageing population with regards to the academic staff across the faculties. 3. The water supply in the wards, laboratories are medical students hostels is inadequate. 4. Some physical structures being used by the faculties of Basic Medical Science and Clinical Sciences are witnessing some degree of dilapidation.

1. The University should procure all the listed equipment listed in the BMAS for the laboratories 2. The University should consider the recruitment of younger and lower cadre academic staff. 3. The University should ensure that adequate water supply is provided in all the required places to ensure smooth running of the programme. 4. The University should ensure rehabilitation and maintenance of the physical structure used for the programme.

The total score for the programme is 88.00%. It scored 34 (91.89%) in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
