1. Academic regulations is not well publized to the student of the programme. 2. Essay questions does not have marking scheme and scores alloted in the question papers are not well weighted. 3. Internal quality assurance does not exist in the department. 4. Staff student ratio of 1;38 does not meet NUC guidelines. 5. 76.9% of academic staff do not have PhD degree. 6. Laboratory space is inadequate for the programme. 7. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

1. Academic regulations should be well publized to the student of the programme. 2. The University should ensure that essay questions have marking scheme and scores alloted to questions are consistent. 3. The University should ensure that internal quality assurance exist in the department. 4. The University should ensure staff student ratio of 1;15 in line with NUC guidelines. 5. The University should ensure that 75% and above of academic staff obtain a PhD degree. 6. Standard laboratory space should be provided for the programme. 7. Standard and academic staff offices should be provided for the programme.

The total score for the programme is 78.51%. It scored 26 (78.79%) in Academic Matters, 25 (72%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
