1. The curriculum contains less than four innovative courses.
2. The curriculum does not cover the curriculum as per the exam question papers e.g. Partial Differential Equations (PED).
3. Degree Projects are not well supervised as there are a lot of inconsistencies in some project write-ups.
4. Practical conducted do not cover the curriculum in some courses.
5. Funding for the Programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should enrich the curriculum by adding at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.
2. The university should ensure that PED is fully captured in the subsequent exams.
3. The University should ensure that project write-ups are well supervised.
4. The University should ensure that practicals conducted cover the curriculum.
8. The University should ensure that the Programme is well-funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 93.28%. It scored 28 (84.85%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (100.00%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
