1. 33% of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from the staff Development Programme.
2. Absence of research and collaboration system
3. Non-Inclusion additional innovative courses in the curriculum
4. External examiner system doesn’t exist in the programme.
5. Equipment and furniture are inadequate in the classrooms.
6. Academic Staff offices are inadequate in number and space
7. Funding is inadequate.

 

1.The university should ensure that non-teaching staff benefit from staff Development Programme
2. The university should ensure that research and collaboration system exit and be documented.
3. The University should ensure that curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.
4. The university should ensure that external examiners system exists and qualified external assessors are engaged.
5. The university should procured more equipment and furniture in the classrooms.
6. More Academic staff offices should be provided
7. The programme should be adequately funded.1

 

The total score for the programme is 67.20%. It scored 24 (64.86%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74%) in Staffing, 18 (66.67%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.7%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 0 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
