1. Innovative Courses does not exist in the curriculum

2. Practicals conducted but not of good quality

3. Course content, learning materials, course delivery exist but are fairly adequate.

4. 75% of Academic Staff and 25% of non-academic staff have not benefitted from staff Programme.

5. Office Accommodation exist but are not adequate in number

 

1. The Department should endavour to introduce many Innovative courses in the curriculum covering ICT and Entrepreneurship etc
2. Practicals such as practicum needs to be overhauled and improved upon.
3. Course content, learning materials course delivery should be improved upon.

4. The University should ensure all staff benefited from the staff development programme.

5. The Department should focus on more office space to eliminate office sharing

 

The total score for the programme is 87.4%. It scored 37 (76%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (94%) in Staffing, 13 (84.6%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (66.6%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
