1. Curriculum not fully adequate as courses like Applied Electricity I and II are missing.
2. The proportion of core staff to the subject area is less than 50%
3. The staff mix by rank met only one category.
4. Less than 70% of non-teaching staff have benefitted from staff development program.
5. Library holdings are in adequate in number and coverage.
6. Inadequate funding.

 

1. Applied Electricity I and II should be included in the curriculum.
2. The school management should employ staff that are core to the subject area.
3. The school should employ more Professors and senior lecturer.
4. More non-teaching staff should be engaged in staff development program.
5. The library should be updated with current books and holdings related to the program.
6. More funds should be allocated for the program

 

The total score for the programme is 75.21%. It scored 27 (81.82%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74.29%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 11 (61.11%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
