1. Language Laboratory dose not meet NUC Benchmark in space.

2. Only 40% of non-academic staff have benefited from staff development programme

3. Internal quality assurance system exists but not effective

4. The general environment is not very clean as well as lack of toilet facilities for the students.

5. Physical holdings are inadequate in number and coverage.

6. There is no functional E-Library .

7. Funding is not very adequate for the programme .

 

1. Language laboratory should be more specious and be padded to control noise.
2. University should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from staff development programme

3. University should ensure that internal quality assurance system is functional
4. University should endeavor to see that there are functional toilet facilities at some designated areas on the campus.

5. More Physical library holdings should be required both in coverage and in currency.
6. University E-library needs a total reformation . subscription to database and network bandwidth should be provided.
7. More fund should be provided for the prograame.

 

The total score for the programme is 80.00%. It scored 29 (90.63%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 6 (33.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
