1. The University should employ lecturers core to Biology Education
2.. The university should have a dedicated lab for the programme for effective pedagogy
3. The University should ensure that the practical work aligns with the BMAS/CCMAS
4. The University should ensure a robust multi disciplinary research and collaborations

 

The total score for the programme is 76%. It scored 24 (73%)  in Academic Matters, 24 (69%) in Staffing, 23 (85%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (67%) in Funding, 1 (33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
