1.Relevant Courses such as Data Base Management system, Networking and Communication system, Cyber Incident reporting and Management, Computer hardware are omitted from the curriculum
2. There is evident of block marking in the grading system
3. Manual was not provided for some practical works
Staff mix by rank is not consisted with NUC guideline in one category
4. Inadequate laboratories such as Virtual Machines, routers, firewalls, testing networks system
5. Library holding is not adequate in books and Journals
6. Funding is not adequate

 

The Department should include Data Base Management system, Networking and Communication system, Cyber Incident reporting and Management, Computer hardware in their curriculum
2. The should discourage the use of block marking in their grading system

4. Laboratories equipment such as Virtual Machines, routers, firewalls, testing networks system should be provided in the laboratories
5. The University should procure more books and journals in the Library
6. More Fund should be provided for the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 88.43%. It scored 31 (88.57%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 23.5 (87.04%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2.5 (83.33%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
