REMEDIES

1. Practical conducted on the programme did not cover the curriculum

2. Only less than 22% of Academic Staff benefitted from staff development programme.

3. Equipment and furniture to include to include whiteboards, bulb for lightning, ceiling fans and chairs are inadequate in the classrooms for the programme.

4. Proportion of staff core to subject area is not consistent with the provision of the BMAS.

5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should ensure that practical conducted on the programme cover the curriculum

2. The University should ensure that all Non-Academic staff benefit from staff Development programmes.

3. The University should provide Whiteboards, bulbs for lightning, ceiling fans and fix broken chairs in all the classrooms for the programme

4. The University should ensure that the proportion of staff core to subject area is in consonance with the provision of the BMAS.

5. The programme should be adequately funded

 

The total score for the programme is 85.60%. It scored 33 (89.19%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74%) in Staffing, 24 (0.00%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (0.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (0.00%) in Funding, 3 (100%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
