1. Staff mix by rank of 37.5:25:37.5 is not consistent with NUC’s stipulated guideline of 20:35:45 in two categories.
2. Their is no evidence of staff development program for the non-teaching staff
3. Staff offices are not adequate in space that is not spacious.
4. Class room facilities such as fans and air conditioners are not functional

 

1. The university should employ more staff to boast up the lower cadre.
2. The dean and Head of department, Faculty of Education should encourage the non-teaching staff to apply for development programs
3. The university should make provisions for spacious offices for staff.
4. The university should ensure that the fans and air conditioners are functional through proper maintenance

 

The total score for the programme is 89.1%. It scored 30 (97%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (89%) in Staffing, 22 (81.5%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
