1. Irentenema Attah with registration no. A0025168 has D7 in Physics which is a core admission requirement for Data Science. 2. Academic regulations in the student handbook is not clearly stated. 3. Practicals work not conducted. 4. The staff mix by rank of 18:27:55 does not meet the NUC approved guidelines for the discipline in two categories. 5. 36.4% of academic staff do not have PhD. degree programme. 6. 45.5% of academic staff and none of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme. 7. Academic staff offices are slightly inadequate in space and office equipment such refrigerators, visitors’ chairs, bookshelves and file cabinet are not available. 8. Library books and journals are inadequate in number and currency. 9. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. The University should ensure that all students enrolled in the programme meet the university admission requirements. 2. The University should review student’s handbook to include regulations on examination malpractices and matched sanctions appropriately to specific offence. 3. The University should ensure that Practicals work are conducted to cover the curriculum. 4. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with the NUC approved guidelines. 5. The University should ensure that all academic staff have PhD degree programme. 6. The University should ensure that all academic staff and non-teaching staff benefit from staff development programme. 7. The University should provide well-furnished and spacious offices for the academic staff. 8. More current books and journals should be procured for the programme. 9. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 76.05%. It scored 23.5 (71.21%) in Academic Matters, 24.5 (70.00%) in Staffing, 22.5 (83.33%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
