1. There are less than four innovative courses in the
curriculum.

2. The standard of test and examinations does not cover the
entire curriculum.

3. The non-teaching staff are inadequate in number.

4. Only 66% of the academic staff and 50% of the non-academic staff have benefited from Staff Development
Programme.

5. Laboratory space is inadequate for the programme.

6. Classroom Furnitures are not well maintained.

7. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space as senior lectures share offices.
8. Research and Collaboration sighted had no multidisciplinary approach.

9. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The University should ensure that curriculum is enriched
by addition of at least four innovative courses without
exceeding the maximum credit load.

2. The standard of test and examination should cover the
curriculum of the programme in line with the CCMAS and BMAS.

3. Qualified non-teaching staff should be employed for the programme.

4. The University should ensure that all non-academic and
academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.

5. The University should ensure that Laboratory space is
adequate and in line with the BMAS.

6. Standard classroom should be provided for the programme.

7. Well-furnished offices should be provided for the academic staff of programme.

8. The University should ensure multidisciplinary in its research and collaborations.

9. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.00%. It scored 31 (83.78%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
