1. Students in the programme demonstrated average level of hard and soft skills relevant to the programme.

2. 40% of the academic staff did not benefit from staff development programme

3. The Econometric laboratory is inadequate in space and there are few computers in the laboratory.

4. Professors offices are inadequate in spaces and not well furnished with standard cabinets and bookshelves.

5. There are no Micro and Macro Economics textbooks in the physical library.

 

1. The University should ensure that student acquire appropriate hard and soft skills relevant to the programme.

2. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from staff development programme

3. The University should provide a more spacious Econometric laboratory equipped with computers.

4. Spacious and well-furnished offices should be provided for the professors in the programme.

5. The University should procure Micro Economics and Macro Economics books for the library.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.22%. It scored 28.5 (95.00%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (100.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
