REMEDIES

1.students practical work are fairly adequate and do not cover the curriculum.
2. 35.7% of academic staff and 100% of the non-academic staff did not benefit from staff development in the last three years.
3. the staff offices for the programme are slightly inadequate in space
4. funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. the University should purchase modern equipment eg universal testing machine for wood science and drone for forest monitoring and remote sensing to enable the students acquire more skill in forestry and environmental management.
2. the University should ensure that all academic and non-academic staff benefit from staff development.
3. the institution should that office size specification as prescribe by the BMAS is adhered to.
4. the University should allocate more fund to the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 86%. It scored 37 (92%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (89%) in Staffing, 27 (81.5%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (86.1%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (66.66%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
