1. The Department has only two non academic staff which is inadequate for the programme. 2. 46.0% of the academic staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme. 3. 50.0% of the non-academic staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme. 4. ENG 210 (Creative Writing I), ENG 308 (Creative Writing II) are ommitted from the Curriculum. 5. There is block allocation of marks in the marking schemes.

1. The University should enagage more qualified non academic staff for the Department. 2. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme. 3. The University should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme. 4.The curriculum should be reviewed to accomodate all ommitted courses in line with the BMAS. 5. Block allocation of marks to examination questions should be discouraged.

The total score for the programme is 80.00%. It scored 30.5 (82.43%) in Academic Matters, 29 (83%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 15.5 (86.11%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2.5 (83.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
