REMEDIES

1. Only 50% of Non-Academic Staff benefitted from staff development programme.

2. Equipment to include Whiteboards and Smartboard are not available in some Studios and Seminar rooms.

3. Classroom equipment such as Whiteboards and bulb for lightning, are inadequate in number.

4. Professorial and other Staff Offices are adequate in space and are not en-suite with toilet facilities.

5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should ensure that all Non-Academic staff benefit from staff Development programmes.

2. The University should ensure that equipment such as Whiteboards and Smart Boards are available in some of the Studios and Seminar rooms.

3. The University should provide Whiteboards and bulbs for lightning in all the classrooms for the programme.

4. The University should provide adequate space for all categories of staff office and ensure that Professorial offices are en-suite with toilet facilities.

5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.60%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 20.5 (75.93%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
