1. Staff mix by rank (50:23:27) shows that the department is top heavy.
2. Only 32% of the academic staff benefit from staff development.
3. Professor offices are not en-suite
4. Physical journals and textbooks available for the program are on General Religious Studies Education

 

1. The University should employ academic staff of senior lecturer, lecturer 1 and below for the sustenance of the program.
2. The University should ensure more academic staff benefit from staff development
3. The University should provide more conducive offices for the professorial cadre inline with NUC specification
4. The University should purchase more relevant physical journals and textbooks on Christian Religious Studies Education

 

The total score for the programme is 91.23%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 15 (93.75%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
