DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. Staff offices at the Jos campus are inadequate
2. Staff development programmes were mostly self sponsored
3. Staff mix by rank is adequate but younger academics are lower than stipulated in the NUC BMAS
4. Funding is inadequate

 

1. More befitting office accomodation should be provided for staff of the
programme
2. The University should improve on staff development for the programme
3. More senior lecturers and lecturers 1 and below should be employed for the programme.
4. The University should provide more funds for the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 93.76%. It scored 36 (97.30%)  in Academic Matters, 31.4 (90%) in Staffing, 24.8 (91.85%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
