REMEDIES

1. There are no additional innovative courses in the curriculum.
2. Marking scheme is not well developed as mark were not allotted to all questions on the staff list.
3. No non-teaching staff has benefitted from staff development.
4. Furnitures in the classrooms are dilapidated.
5. Furniture in classrooms and laboratories are dilapidated.
6. The classrooms and school environment are dirty.
7. Physical library book is not current only few current books were available.

 

1. The university should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.
2. The university should encourage lecturers to develop the marking scheme properly with possible answers to questions and appropriate scores.
3. The university should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from staff development programme.
4. Furniture items in classrooms and laboratories should be well maintained

7. More current books should be procured for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.80%. It scored 33 (89.19%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.7%) in Funding, 2 (66.7%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
