1. The Curriculum for the programme contains three innovative courses. 2. Interaction with students revealed that learning materials such as projectors and smart boards are used only at the 100 level. 3. Some students interacted with demonstrated low levels of hard and soft skills. 4. 87% of non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme in the last three years. 5. Some essential laboratory equipment such as Phase-contrast microscope, Dark-field microscope and fluorescence microscope are not available for the programme. 6. Classrooms are not well maintained; equipment such as fans, projectors, and lighting are not available in some classrooms. 7. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space. Professors do not have private toilets. 8. The programme is subscribed to only one database 9. No Multidisciplinary approach applied in research and collaboration. 10. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. The University should enrich the programme with at least four innovative courses. 2. The university should ensure that learning materials are used for all levels of students. 3. There is need for training and retraining of technical staff to enhance the skills of the students. 4. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from staff development Programme. 5. All essential laboratory equipment should be provided for the programme in line with the NUC BMAS/CCMAS. 6. The University should ensure that classrooms are equipped and maintained. 7. Standard (spacious) offices with toilet facilities should be provided for all academic staff of the programme 8. More databases should be subscribed for the programme. 9. The University should ensure that academic staff adopts a multidisciplinary approach in research and collaboration. 10. The programme should be adequately funded

The total score for the programme is 86.40%. It scored 34 (91.89%) in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
