1) The programme has only Two innovative courses included in the curriculum
2) There was no evidence /record that any staff ( academic and non academic) benefitted from staff development
3)There is insufficient Global Positioning System (GPS), desktop computers and GIS softwares for the Programme;
4) Classroom space is insufficient for the programme
5) Recommended textbooks for the programme are not very current
6) Funding is not very adequate for the programme

1) More innovative courses should be introduced into the curriculum
2)The University is strongly advised to be more intentional about staff development
3)More GPS, computers and GIS softwares should be acquired to meet the needs of the students
4) More classrooms should be provided for the programme
5) The University should procure very current recommended textbooks for the programme
6) The programme need to be very well funded

The total score for the programme is 87.20%. It scored 34 (91.89%) in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B. APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
