1. The curriculum contains less than 4 innovative courses 2. The continous assement scores are not recorded in the examination scripts and the size of script is small. 3. All students degree projects does not have approval page for signatures 4. The students practical work conducted did not cover all the scope of the programme. 5. The staff mix by rank of 30:30:40 does not meet the NUC approved guidelines in all categories. 6. The non-teaching staff are not adequate in number. 7. 50% of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from the Staff Development Programme. 8. The Hardware laboratory lacks essential equipment like unshielded thruster pair cable, logic analyser, microprocessor trainer kit and logic development system. 9. The Classrooms were not well maintained and do not have teaching aids like smart boards, projectors and white boards 10. Academic staff offices are not well furnished with filing cabinets and bookshelves 11. Students can only access the e-library inside the library 12. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. The university should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of atleast four relevant innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load 2. The University should ensure that continuous assessment scores be recorded on the scripts and the quality of student’s script should be improved. 3. The University should ensure that all students projects have approval page with signatures of necessary supervisors 4. The University should ensure that practical work conducted covers all the scope of the programme 5. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with the NUC approved guidelines 6. The University should employ more technologist and laboratory assistants for the programme 7. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme. 8. The University should ensure that all relevant laboratories with full equipment as listed in the BMAS are provided for programme. 9. The University should ensure all classrooms have teaching aids and are well maintained. 10. Standard and adequately furnished academic staff offices should be provided. 11. The University should ensure that internet hotspots are extended to other parts of the campus for ease of access to e-resources in the library 12. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 88.20%. It scored 33.25 (89.86%) in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
