1. Only 58% of teaching Staff with are specialization on Applied Chemistry.

2. 64% of the academic staff have benefitted from staff development programme in the last 3 years.

3. The panel observe that there is no NMR Spectrometer in the laboratories.

 

1. More Staff with specialization on Applied Chemistry should be employed by the University.

2. The University is encouraged to ensure that all staff benefitted from staff development programme.

3. The University should purchase NMR Spectrometer machine to compliment existing equipment in the laboratory to enhance learning.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.00%. It scored 33 (89.19%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74.29%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
