1. External examiner appointed has been engaged by for more than two years. 2. Only 73% proportion of teaching staff are core to the subject area. 3. 46% of the academic staff do not have Ph.D degree. 4.The Molecular Biology Laboratory does not have a polymerase Chain reaction (PCR) machine. 5. Botanical Garden for the programme does not have seedless and aquatic plants. 6. Some classroom furnishings, ceilings and floors are poorly maintained. 7. Academic staff offices are inadequate in furnishing. 8. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

1. The University to ensure External examiners engaged for the programme does not exceed the maximum of two year in line with the BMAS. 2. The programme should ensure its teaching staff core to the subject area are in line with the BMAS. 3. All academic staff should be encouraged to obtain Ph.D degree. 4. A polymerase Chain reaction (PCR) machine should be procured for the Molecular Biology Laboratory. 5. The programme should ensure seedless and aquatic plants are incorporated into the Botanical Garden plants. 6. Standard classroom should be provided for the programme. 7. Adequate number of well-furnished offices should be provided for the programme. 8.The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 85.60%. It scored 36 (97.30%) in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
