1. The laboratory space for the programme is inadequate. 2. The laboratory does not have the following essential equipments eg Universal Testing Machine (UTM), total station, theodolites and BS Sieve shakers. 3. The classrooms and lecture theatres are inadequate in space, there are no fans and lighting and there are no white boards and projectors. 4. Academic staff offices are inadequate in number and they are not furnished with bookshelves and filing cabinets. 5. Physical library journals are inadequate in number and currency 6. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. Additional standard laboratories should be provided for the programme eg. a water resources laboratory. 2. All essential laboratory equipment should be provided for the programme in line with the BMAS. 3. Standard classrooms and lecture theatres should be provided for the programme. In addition, functional fans, white boards, and projectors should be installed. 4. Standard (spacious) offices should be provided for the programme. 5. More current journals should be procured for the programme. 6. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 68.07%. It scored 29 (87.88%) in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 9 (33.33%) in Physical Facilities, 11 (61.11%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.
