Practicals do not fully cover the curriculum.
60% of the academic staff teaching the programme are core to the programme
Staff development for academic and non-academic exist but is very poor
Some necessary equipment in laboratory were not available
Classrooms and lecture theatres were available but not well equipped.
Office accommodation is adequate but the professorial offices are not well equipped
The library holdings are inadequate in number
Funding is inadequate

 

The need to include innovative courses in the curriculum
Instructors/technologists should cover all practicals and students should be made to report on the practicals.
More academic staff core to the programme should be engaged
Staff development for all academic and non-academic should be prioritized.
To provide automated tissue processing machine, embalmment machine and electric bone sew.
Classrooms and lecture theatres should be equipped with projectors and public address system.
Professorial offices should have ensuite toilet facilities
To provide at least three copies of the relevant texts and journals.
Funding for the programme should be improved.

 

The total score for the programme is 80.00%. It scored 30 (81%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
