1. The standards of test and examinations are not designed according to the guidelines, a 3 credit unit course have 7 questions as against 5 or 4 questions and the quality of scripts is very low. 2. The students practical work conducted did not cover all the scope of the programme. 3. The staff mix by rank of 27.2:36.4:36.4 meet the NUC approved guidelines only in one category. 4. 50% of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from the Staff Development Programme. 5. The Hardware laboratory is small in space and also lacks essential equipment like unshielded thruster pair cable, logic analyser, microprocessor trainer kit and logic development system. 6. The Classrooms were not well maintained and do not have teaching aids like smart boards, projectors and white boards 7. Academic staff offices are not well furnished with filing cabinets and bookshelves 9. The slow internet connectivity impedes access to e-book and journals by students and staff of the programme. 10. Funding for the programme is inadequate

1. The University should ensure that the guidelines for questions are properly followed and the quality of student’s script should be improved. 2. The University should ensure that practical work conducted covers all the scope of the programme 3. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with the NUC approved guidelines 4. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme. 5. The University should ensure that all relevant laboratories with full equipment as listed in the BMAS are provided for programme. 6. The University should ensure all classrooms have teaching aids and are well maintained. 7. Standard and adequately furnished academic staff offices should be provided. 9. More internet bandwidth should be provided in the e-library for fast accessibility to books and journals. 10. The programme should be adequately funded

The total score for the programme is 87.20%. It scored 33 (89.19%) in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 20 (74%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
