1. The curriculum is fairly adequate: Content such as Hypothesis Testing, Maximum Likelihood Principles, and Linear Combination of Random Variable STA 212 was duplicated in STA 321 and 221.
2. Past questions sighted for STA 212 are too advanced for 200 level.
3. Internal Quality Assurance Committee at the department level consist of only 3 members: Chairman, 1 member and the secretary.

 

1. Hypothesis Testing, Maximum Likelihood Principles, and Linear Combination of Random Variable should be expunged from STA 212.
2. Questions from topics like Hypothesis Testing, Maximum Likelihood Principles, and Linear Combination of Random Variable should be expunged from STA 212.
3. Membership of Internal Quality Assurance Committee should be expanded to include members from the various staff ranks.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.13%. It scored 29 (87.88%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 21.5 (79.63%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
