1. The Curriculum of the programme is substantially covered as observed from the question papers 2. Some of the students enrolled in the programme did not meet the admission requirements. 3. There is no consistency in the standard of Tests and Examinations particularly in the areas of instructions and marks distribution to questions. 4. The Marking Schemes are not well developed and the grading of students work not consistent with evenly distribution of marks. 5. Adequate practical works of good quality depth and scope have not been conducted for the students in the programme. 6. The learning materials, course delivery and physical facilities are fairly adequate. 7. Students in the programme demonstrated average level of hard and soft skills relevant to the programme 8. The staff mix by Rank of the programme (15.36:7.69:76.92) is not consistent with the NUC guidelines. 9. The laboratory equipment inspected in the dedicated laboratories are inadequate in number. 10. The staff offices are adequate in space and number but slightly well-equipped and furnished. 11. The Journals in the physical library are inadequate in currency and holding 12. Funding for the programme is inadequate. 13. Research and Collaboration exists with no multidisciplinary approach or project.

1.The University should ensure that the curriculum of the programme is adequately covered. 2. The University should ensure that all the students enrolled in the programme meet the admission requirements. 3.The university should ensure that consistency in the standard of Tests and Examination is attained for the programme, particularly in the areas of instructions and marks distribution to questions. 4. The University should ensure proper development of marking schemes and consistency with grading of students work. 5. The University should ensure that adequate practical works of good quality depth and scope are conducted for the students in the programme. 6.The University should adequate learning materials and physical facilities for the programme. 7.The University should ensure that very relevant good level of hard and soft skills are demonstrated by the students in the programme. 8. The University should ensure that the programme attains a Staff Mix by Rank of (20:35:45) which is in line with the NUC guidelines 9. The University should provide adequate equipment in the dedicated laboratories such as: Rheometer, Filtration Assembly, PVT Equipment, Retort Kit, Core Slab Machines, and solid analysis equipment. 10. The University should ensure that staff offices are well equipped and furnished. 11. The University should ensure journals are very adequate in currency and holding. 12. The university should provide adequate funding for the programme. 13. The university should ensure the availability of Research and Collaboration that engage multidisciplinary approach.

The total score for the programme is 74.36%. It scored 21 (63.64%) in Academic Matters, 28 (84.85%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.
