REMEDIES

1. The proportion of staff core to the subject area is below optimal
(only 50% of staff is core to the subject area).

2. Non-teaching staff of the programme have not benefitted from
staff development.

3. Staff offices are poorly equipped and lack air conditioners, fans,
refrigerators, computer systems, and internet connectivity.

4. The journals in the library for the programme are not current
editions.

5. There is no library portal for students’ access to E-resources.

 

1. The University should ensure that the programme has adequate
staff core to the subject area.

2. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff of the
programme benefit from staff development.

3. The University should ensure that staff offices are well-equipped
with air conditioners, fans, refrigerators, computer systems, and
Internet connectivity.

4. The University should ensure that library journals for the
programme are current editions.

5. The University should provide a library portal to enable
students to access E-resources.

 

The total score for the programme is 89%. It scored 32 (97%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (83%) in Staffing, 25 (92%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (78%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (100%) in Funding, 3 (100%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
