REMEDIES

1. Only 43% of the non-teaching staff benefited from staff development programmes.

2. The space in the advertising & public relations studio is less than the standards prescribed in the NUC BMAS.

3. The number of audio midgets and camcorders in the radio studio are not adequate, There is no smart television in the advertising studio.

4. The professors’ offices have no dedicated toilet; and the office space for lecturers I and below is less than BMAS prescription.

 

1. All non-teaching staff should be availed of staff development programmes.

2. More spacious advertising & public relations studio should be provided for the programme in line with NUC BMAS requirement.

3. Additional audio midgets and camcorders should be provided in the radio studio. A smart television should be provided in the advertising studio.

4. A more befitting office accommodation, with dedicated toilet, should be provided for professors. More spacious offices should be provided for lecturers I and below.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.20%. It scored 33.5 (90.54%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
