1. Quality of degree projects are not good
2. Less than 50% of both the academic and non-academic staff have benefitted from staff development programme
3.The studio theatre is inadequate in space, the stage is not
4. The university’s name is not inscribed on the drone
5. The seats in the classrooms are not comfortable, there are no projectors and public address systems in the large classrooms
6. Staff offices are not adequately furnished
7. The classroom environment is not very clean

 

1. The university should improve on supervision and quality of projects
2. The university should ensure that all staff benefit from the staff development programme
3. The university should provide additional space for rehearsal and improve on the stage
4.The university’s name should be inscribed on the drone
5. Comfortable seats, projectors and public address systems should be provided in the classrooms
6. The staff offices should be well furnished
7. The university should keep the environment clean

 

The total score for the programme is 83.40%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 19.75 (73.15%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 0.5 (16.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
