1. Exam malpractice and sanctions are not clearly stated in the student’s handbook
2. The professor’s offices are not well furnished, also they do not have conveniences
3. The laboratories are not adequate in space
4. There was no messenger in the department
5. Only about 60% of both academic and non academic staff have benefited in the staff development programme
6. The currency of texbooks and journals are inadequate

3. The laboratories should be more spacious
4. A messenger should be employed in the department
5. The university should ensure that more staff benefits in the staff
development programme
6. The university should procure more current textbooks and journals

 

The total score for the programme is 82%. It scored 31.5 (85.14%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (83%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1.5 (50.00%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
