1. The 300L done was not drawn up in the curriculum.
2. The degree projects were not well supervised.
3. No functional quality assurance in place
4. Staff mix by rank of 40:20:40 is consistent with NUC guideline in one category.
5. 60% of teaching staff have not benefited from staff development.
6. 70% of non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development.
7. Less than 80% of computers in the language lab are not functional.
8. Academic staff offices are not adequate in space.
9. Some toilet facilities are obsolete.
10. The library holdings and journals are not current.
11. Funding is inadequate.
12. No indication of multidisciplinary approach to research and collaboration.

 

1. The University should provide to drawn up the 300L courses done outside the School to enable students make up for carry over cases.
2. The University should that the degree projects are well supervised.
3. The University should ensure the functionality of quality assurance.
4. Staff mix by rank should be consistent with NUC guideline in all categories.
5. The University should ensure that all teaching staff benefit from staff development.
6. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from staff development.
7. The University should ensure that all computers in the language lab are all functional.
8. The University should ensure that academic staff offices are adequate in space.

The total score for the programme is 79.38%. It scored 28.25 (88.28%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74.29%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
