DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. CCMAS is yet to be implemented.
2. The Staff Mix by Rank of 67.7:22,6:9.7 is not in conformity with the NUC guideline of 20:35:45.
3. Only 25% of the non-academic staff benefited from the Staff Development Programme.
4. There were broken furniture in the classrooms.
5. Poor Internet connectivity outside the library.

 

1. The University should ensure that the CCMAS is implemented immediately.
2. The University should ensure that it adheres to the Staff Mix by Rank of 20:35:45.
3. The University should encourage the non-academic staff to benefit from the Staff Development Programme.
4. The University should provide standard furnishings in the classrooms.

 

The total score for the programme is 93.60%. It scored 36 (97.30%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
