REMEDIES

1. Only 54.5% of the academic staff have Ph.D.
2. Only 55.6% of the academic staff and 60% of the non-academic have benefited from the Staff Development programme.
3. The safety equipment (sand buckets and fire extinguishers) are inadequate.

 

1. The University should encourage their academic staff to develop themselves by acquiring higher degrees.
2. The University should improve on the Staff Development Programme for both academic and non-academic staff.
3. The University should provide more safety equipment and it should be place at strategic points.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.08%. It scored 32 (96.97%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74.29%) in Staffing, 26 (96.30%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
