REMEDIES

1. 33.5% of the academic staff do not have a Ph.D degree.
2. 83.4% of the non-academic staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme.
3. The laboratory workshop does not have essential equipment such as Dimension wood planning machine.
4. Physical library books/ journals such as Structures and Fabrics (Part 1 and 2) and Foundation Design and Construction and Journal of Construction Management essential for the programme are not available.

 

1. All academic staff should be encouraged to obtain Ph.D degree.
2. The university should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
3. All essential laboratory/ workshop equipment should be purchased for the programme.
4. More essential books and journals should be procured for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.07%. It scored 30 (88.24%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (89%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.3%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
