1.) Some archaeology courses in culture and background of the study are omitted from the curriculum
2.) The projects work were not well supervised
3.) Academic Staff Offices are not well furnished with bookshelves and filing cabinets.
4.) The available fire extinguishers are inadequate in number.

 

1.) The curriculum should be reviewed to include all omitted archaeology courses in culture and background of the study in line with the CCMAS.
2.) Students should be well advised in the choice of project topics
3.) Adequate number of well-furnished offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme.
4.) The University should ensure that a good number of functional fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment/devices are installed at strategic locations for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.53%. It scored 27.5 (85.94%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 13.5 (84.38%) in Physical Facilities, 13.5 (75.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
