1. External examiner works is not of good quality because the assessor engaged is not a specialist of Industrial Chemistry

2. The questions papers and interactions with the students clearly indicated that the curriculum is not adequately covered for the programme

3. Marking scheme is not clear, adequate and well-developed for the programme.

4. Professorial offices are not furnished with bookshelves and refrigerators.

5. Books in the physical Library are inadequate in number for the programme.

6. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should engage external examiners who specialises in Industrial Chemistry.

2. There should be adequate coverage of the curriculum in line with the provision of the CCMAS

3. The University should ensure that marking scheme is clear, adequate and well-developed for the programme.

4. Professorial offices should be well furnished with bookshelves and refrigerators.

5. There should be adequate number of Books in the physical Library for the programme.

6. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.99%. It scored 31 (83.78%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
