1. 84.6% of the Academic staff have not benefitted from the Staff Development.
2. 88.2% of Non-Academic staff have not benefited from the Staff development.
3. 32.7% of academic staff do not have Ph.D.
4. The Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy labs lacked essential equipment
5. The internet and campus hotspot connectivity couldn’t be accessed at the e-library and faculty

 

1. The University should ensure that all academic Staff benefit from staff development
2. The University should ensure that all non-academic Staff benefit from staff development
3. The University should ensure that all academic staff are encouraged to have their Ph.D.
4. The university should provide more equipment for the laboratories: pharmacology lab needs kynogrpgh and power lab with all accessories, pharmacognosy lab requires standard crude drugs, digital light microscope eyepiece and hot water bath
5. The university should improve on the internet, university wide hotspot connectivity in the library and campus

 

The total score for the programme is 79.86%. It scored 32.13 (91.80%)  in Academic Matters, 24 (68.57%) in Staffing, 21.75 (80.56%) in Physical Facilities, 13.75 (76.39%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
