REMEDIES

1: Marking scheme exist but some were not well developed, few block markings were observed.
2: Only six (6) out of the nine (9) academic staff have Ph.D (66.7%).
3: Only six (6) out of nine (9) academic staff have benefited from staff development programme.
4: Only one (1) out of the four (4) non-teaching staff have benefited from staff development programme within the years under review (25%)

 

1: The University should ensure there is no block marking.

2: The University should ensure that all the academic staff have Ph.D.
3: The University should ensure all the academic staff benefit from the staff development programme.
4: The University should ensure that all the non-teaching staff benefit from the staff development programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.08%. It scored 31 (94%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (83%) in Staffing, 25 (93%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
