1. Marking scheme are fairly developed in terms of assessment of projects and distribution of marks
2. The proportion of staff core to the subject is less than 50% of the teaching staff need
3. The non-teaching staff are not adequate in number
4. The workshop space is inadequate to accommodate all the available equipment
5. The text and journals available at the library is inadequate in number
6. Funding is inadequate

2. The proportion of staff core to the subject should be improved upon to meet 75% or more of the teaching staff need
3. The non-teaching staff should be adequate in number to support the existing ones
4. The workshop space should be improved upon to meet NUC standard and accommodate all the available equipment
5. The texts and journals available in the library should be adequate
in number
6. Funding should be adequate

The total score for the programme is 84.00%. It scored 32 (86.49%) in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B. APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
