1. Only 58.8 of the academic staff have benefitted from the Staff Development Programme.
2. None of the non-academic staff have benefitted from the Staff Development Programme.
3. Internal Quality Assurance System is not effective as there was no evidence of minutes of meeting and decision-making documents.
4. The GIS Laboratory for the programme lacks some essential equipment.
5. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. the University should ensure that all academic staff have benefitted from the Staff Development Programme.
2. The University should ensure that non-academic staff have benefitted from the Staff Development Programme.
3. The University should ensure that Internal Quality Assurance System is effective.
4. The University should ensure that essential equipment such as soil thermometer, cup anemometer, humidity slide rule and A3 printer for printing worksheet are provided.
5. The University should ensure that funding is adequate for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.00%. It scored 34.5 (93.24%)  in Academic Matters, 28.5 (82%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
