1. Three out of the five Non-Academic staff (60%) benefitted from the staff development scheme.
2. Only 50 out of 100 bouts have headsets in the language laboratory.

3. Some equipment’s failed to work due to low power supply in the English laboratory. Equipment such as microphone and headsets
4. Safety equipment’s around the English language laboratory were inadequate. Equipment such as fire extinguishers and sand buckets.

 

1. The University should ensure all non-academic staff benefit from staff development.
2. The University should ensure all bouts in the language laboratory have functional headsets.
3. The University should ensure there is adequate power supply in the English laboratory.

4. The University should procure more fire extinguisher and sand bucket around the English laboratory.

 

The total score for the programme is 94.40%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
